The Ontario Chamber of Commerce and Wavemakers are bringing together post-secondary co-op students and employers from a number of industries and sectors across Canada.

During this interactive virtual career fair, you can meet prospective employers, learn about different organizations and career paths, and explore potential paid co-op and work placement opportunities, all in one afternoon.

Whether you are actively looking for a placement or beginning to explore your options, this is your chance to ask questions, grow your professional network and discover where your skills could take you. Register to reserve your spot!

Who Can Attend?

This event is open to students who are eligible for the Student Work Placement Program (SWPP). To attend, you must:

• Be registered as a domestic student in a recognized Canadian post-secondary institution (international students are not eligible).

• Be a Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or persons to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.

• Be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant federal, provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.

• Registered in a program or course with a WIL component as part of their study plan. The placement must take place during a scheduled work term and must be relevant to their field of study.

• Registered in a full-time or part-time program in any field of study.

As an added bonus, students who have been confirmed as eligible by their post-secondary institution and pre-approved by the Ontario Chamber of Commerce will receive a special badge for their avatar. This badge will let participating employers know that you have already received pre-approval for the program.

Experience the Wavemakers Virtual Campus

The event will take place in the Wavemakers Virtual Campus, an immersive online environment where you can create an avatar, explore virtual spaces and connect with employers and other students in real time. You can join this fully accessible event from anywhere using your computer. No VR headset is required.
