What is Wavemakers?
At a time when students are finding it difficult to get a job, Wavemakers can help you add experience to your resume and differentiate you to employers.
Wavemakers is an innovative hands-on program that helps you gain career-ready experience while working on a project for social good, all in an exciting, virtual environment.
Wavemakers is funded by the Government of Canada’s Innovative Work-Integrated Learning Program, making participation completely free for eligible students.
Project and Workload
Design a Project with Impact: Collaborate with your teammates and a mentor to create a meaningful project that supports a United Nations Sustainable Development Goal. Think global impact!
Built-In Collaboration Time: You’ll have dedicated session time to connect, create, and make progress together as a team.
Choose Your Pace: Pick the cohort option that suits you (1 session/week or 2 sessions/week).

Introductory Session
A critical session that sets you up for success. Meet your peers, learn to navigate the virtual campus and start your Wavemakers journey.
4 Interactive Speaker Sessions (Live, Virtual)
Learn from industry experts who are changing the game.
Each session is 2 hours.
3 Mentor/Team Working Sessions
Dedicated time to work with your team and mentor on your final project, in the virtual campus.
Final Session
Presentation day for you and your classmates.
